2016 ZINFANDEL pulled from the Cellar Library only 56cases left
Harvested from old vines, the 2016 Zinfandel in our Cellar Library showcases a lighter ruby red hue—dark yet lean and refined. At ten years of age, it remains young and vibrant, with the structure to easily age another ten years by using top grade 2" corks. The nose reveals distinct oaky, earthy, and mineral notes, while the palate is smooth on entry and finishes with a lively zesty character. Crafted under the expert guidance of Daniel Manies, whose two decades at Barron Phillip Rothschilds and Opus One inform DRM Winery’s Bordeaux-style approach, this wine reflects both tradition and innovation. With only 56 cases left, and an 86-point rating from Orange County Fair, this Zinfandel is a rare expression of Napa's downtown winemaking excellence.
