A Masterful Winemaker’s Journey
• Daniel Manies, a visionary winemaker, traces his roots to French winemaking traditions brought to America in 1874.
• With determination and education, he contributed to Napa Valley’s rise as a world-renowned wine region, working at renowned wineries like Beringer and Mondavi.
• Selected as Master Cellarman for Opus One Winery, Daniel played a pivotal role in its inception, establishing a strong foundation for its future success.
• Continuously expanding his knowledge, he studied at UC Davis and visited parent wineries in Bordeaux, France, enriching his expertise.
• Daniel’s passion led to the creation of Vin De Manies, starting humbly in his garage with friends’ support.

VINOPHILEMTMAN (May 31, 2023) 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, Deep ruby with the rim showing a little water/receding color. Dark fruit, cherry, cedar, earthy notes on nose, med. plus tannin and acid, on the palate there is the acid and still some grippy tannin but the finish isn't long. There is some fruit but the acid and tannin seem to override it. As it has time to open i pick up more of the earthy almost leather notes 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from 3 vineyards 40% St. Helena, 35% Rutherford & 25% East Sonoma hills
